North Florida is rich in upland habitats, ranging from hardwood hammocks to pine flatwoods and the unique scrub ecosystems formed on ancient sand dunes.
While most of our tours are kayak and canoe tours, we also offer occasional hiking tours. As with the paddle tours, our hikes usually have a theme, such as birding, wildlife watching or history. The “Lore and History of Payne’s Prairie” is our most popular hike, but we also lead walks in San Felasco Hammock, Murphy Island (as part of our William Bartram series) and others. Please watch our calendar for upcoming hikes and dates. Click here for details.
